Reports To: Trisha Mammen, Principal
Annual Salary: $80,000$110,000
Working Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:30a.m.4:30p.m.
How This Role Fits into the Team
The Advancement Director leads all development, communication, and marketing efforts to nurture generosity, strengthen relationships with families and donors, and support school growth and engagement. This role enhances the schools reputation and creates a vibrant culture through strategic outreach and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all advancement efforts, including development (fundraising), donor cultivation, communications, and marketing.
- Build, manage, and guide the advancement team to align with Donum Deis mission, values, and culture.
- Promote a culture of generosity across the organization.
- Collaborate with school leadership to create and implement a cohesive, strategic development plan.
- Manage the Annual Fund and yearend giving campaigns with strategic communications and donor engagement initiatives.
- Track giving trends and provide actionable reports and insights to leadership.
- Research and pursue new funding opportunities, assist with grant writing and submissions.
- Develop and execute a multiyear strategy to cultivate highpotential donors and maximize revenue.
- Manage a portfolio of highpotential donors, including cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation across multiple funding streams.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, parents, and key community connectors.
- Schedule and host donor meetings to deepen engagement and support.
- Implement and manage donor engagement plans, including personalized communications and timely followups.
- Oversee acknowledgment and recognition processes, ensuring donors are appropriately thanked and recognized.
- Maintain accurate donor profiles and giving records in the CRM.
- Conduct donor research to identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Plan, promote, and execute major fundraising events, including the Annual Gala.
- Collaborate with the events team, Parent Teacher Fellowship, and volunteers to secure auction items and ensure seamless event logistics.
- Support additional school events and service projects that foster family and community engagement.
- Coordinate schoolwide initiatives such as Picture Day and manage vendor relationships for uniforms, spirit wear, and other needs.
- Oversee internal and external communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with school values.
- Write and execute developmentrelated communications, including appeals, newsletters, invitations, and donor updates.
- Provide quarterly fundraising updates to donors and stakeholders.
- Partner with marketing and admissions to enhance enrollment materials, admissions communications, and continuous enrollment messaging.
- Ensure all communications reflect Donum Deis brand and mission.
- Participate in Leadership Team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with school leadership to refine admissions strategies and enhance enrollment outcomes.
- Support the schools presence in the community and maintain a seamless, welcoming experience for families.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Experience: - Professional working experience in specified job areas.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious goals in the public or private sectors.
- Understanding of and/or ability to quickly learn the world of Christian classical education.
Faith & Conduct: - Be devoted to the truth of the Gospel and to Jesus as Lord.
- Serve as a minister of the Gospel.
- Be in good standing with a Christian church, including weekly attendance and active worship.
Professional Development: - Commitment to ongoing training and spiritual formation throughout the year.
- Align with DDCAs vision to cultivate spiritually rooted and classically formed students who serve and live redemptively for God's glory.
Administration: - Be passionate about serving families and connecting them to our community as they navigate discernment, application, and enrollment.
- Occasional weekend or evening work hours required.
- Must be able to travel to engage with local donors.
