Brake Operator

Whirlpool is looking for qualified candidates for the role of Brake Operator. This position is located at Fall River, MA. The Brake Operator will safely operate Press Brakes to process/produce highest quality products. Work Shift: 1st (6:30am-3pm) $21.80 an hour.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining accurate parts and motivation on routine repetitive jobs.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the machine during operations.
• Performing in-process checks to maintain all required tolerances and quality.
• Completing all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
• Communicating all production related items to next shift operators or shift supervisors.
• Being able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand prints or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
• Sequencing of operations and set up requirements.

Minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1+ years of manufacturing sheet metal experience.

Preferred skills and experiences:

• Good computer skills.
• Experience in a continuous improvement environment.
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
