Job Description

Spherion is partnering with leading Yogurt Manufacturer, to hire dedicated and reliable Material Handlers/Production Operators in Minster, OH.
This critical role supports the plant's production and supply chain by ensuring the accurate movement, stocking, and staging of raw materials and finished products. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining an efficient, safe, and quality-focused production environment while working on a predictable 12-hour shift schedule.
Shifts & Pay:
$19.00-$20.00/hr
2-2-3 Rotating Schedule
5:45AM - 6PM
5:45PM - 6AM

Responsibilities:
Material Handling & Logistics: Perform core warehouse and production functions including loading, unloading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving of materials and finished goods.
Equipment Operation: Safely and proficiently operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts (stand-up), to transport products and materials within the facility and warehouse/cooler.
Inventory Control: Utilize warehouse management systems (e.g., RF units, SAP) for accurate cycle counting, inventory management, and proper documentation (e.g., picking sheets, bills of lading).
Production Support: Stage raw materials for production lines and clear finished product from the lines, ensuring the continuous flow of the manufacturing process.
Safety & Quality: Adhere to all company safety protocols, food safety standards (GMPs), and quality systems (e.g., HACCP) to ensure a clean, safe, and quality-driven environment.
Teamwork & Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to report issues, ensure alignment on production goals, and support a collaborative work environment.
Physical Requirements: Perform tasks requiring continuous standing, walking, bending, and repetitive lifting/pushing/pulling of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Skills:
Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office, and/or familiarity with inventory/warehouse systems (e.g., SAP, WMS).
Aptitude: Strong attention to detail, high mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot minor equipment or inventory issues.
Industry Experience: Prior experience in the food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing industry.
Mindset: A proactive, self-directed, and team-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement in safety and quality.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: 6 months prior Forklift experience for Distribution and Warehouse positions
Attendance: Proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including working 12-hour shifts, continuous standing, and moderate repetitive lifting in a fast-paced environment, which may include working in a cold distribution cooler.
Communication: Basic verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions, document work, and interact with peers.
Flexibility: Open and flexible schedule availability, including the ability to work assigned days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the 24/7 manufacturing operation.
