Job Description: This position is responsible for weighing the live haul trailers in and out, transporting trailers to live shed, and transporting trailers, to the Live Receiving dock
Job Synopsis: The Yard Driver retrieves the trailers that Live Haul has delivered and transports them to the scale to record a gross weight. If the Live Receiving dock is full, the driver will then stage the trailers, re-weighing prior to unloading. If space is available at the dock, the Yard Driver will position and drop the trailers in the unload area. The driver then removes all cage tie-downs. Once the Forklift Operator unloads the trailers, the Yard Driver will retrieve the empty Live Haul trailers, replace all cage tie-downs and re-scale the trailers to take out bird weight. After the trailers are re-weighed, the driver positions them for pick-up. Responsible for adding fuel and DEF to trucks.
